Rock Island State Park, located in central Tennessee, came recommended to me by locals, and features two notable waterfalls: Great Falls (20 feet tall but impressively wide) and Twin Falls (80 feet tall and also considerably wide). Both waterfalls are quite easy to view without any hiking, though hiking will provide closer views.
A unique aspect of this park is the Great Falls Dam, which sits on the Caney Fork River Gorge upstream and can release large amounts of water with and without warning, abruptly raising water levels.
Rock Island State Park is about 90 minutes south east of Nashville, Tennessee. If you're willing to take an alternate route, Route 70S is a beautiful stretch of road!
